Child Safety Standards

Mailbees has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). These standards apply to the Mailbees apps for Android, iPhone and Mac and to the mailbees.online server, together with the Terms of Use.

What is prohibited

  • Creating, sending, storing or asking for child sexual abuse material of any kind, real or generated.
  • Grooming: contacting a minor to build trust for sexual purposes, or sexual conversations with a minor.
  • Sextortion and any threat or pressure on a minor to get sexual images or contact.
  • Trafficking or offering minors for sexual purposes, and any content that sexualises minors.
  • Using groups, channels, stories or links to share or find such content.

How to report

In the app: open the chat, group or channel, choose Report in the menu and pick Sexual content. Messages are end-to-end encrypted, so we cannot see them; you may attach the person's last messages (text only) so that we can check the report. You can also block the person in the same dialog.

Outside the app, write to pentabion@gmail.com. Do not send us the material itself: describe what happened and, if you can, give the account name or the invite link.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police first.

What we do

  • Every child safety report is reviewed by a person, as a priority.
  • When CSAE is confirmed, the account is suspended at once: it can no longer sign in, send messages or be written to. Groups and channels used for it are closed.
  • We report CSAM and other CSAE to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to the competent authorities, and keep the data of the report for them as the law requires.
  • If an account on another Mailbees server is involved, we stop exchanging messages with that account or server and inform its operator.

Compliance with the law

We comply with the child safety laws that apply to us, cooperate with law enforcement and answer lawful requests. End-to-end encryption means we do not have message content, but we provide what the server has, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Age

You must be at least 13 years old to use Mailbees, or older if the law where you live requires it.
