Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026-09-27

These terms apply to the Mailbees messenger apps and the mailbees.online server. By creating an account or using Mailbees you agree to them. How your data is handled is described in the Privacy Policy.

What is not allowed

  • Spam: mass or unsolicited messages, advertising to people who did not ask for it.
  • Scams: fraud, phishing, attempts to get money, passwords or personal data by deception.
  • Insults and harassment: bullying, persistent unwanted contact, hate against people for who they are.
  • Threats and violence: threats, calls for violence, promoting terrorism or self-harm.
  • Sexual content: sending it to people who did not agree to it; any sexual content involving minors is forbidden absolutely and is reported to the authorities.
  • Impersonation: pretending to be another person or organisation to mislead people.
  • Illegal content and malware: anything illegal where you or the recipient are, viruses and other harmful software.
  • Abusing the service: getting around limits, overloading or attacking the servers, creating accounts in bulk.

Blocking and reporting

Anyone can be blocked from the chat menu or their contact page: they can no longer message or call you and are not told about it. Blocked people are listed in Settings → Privacy → Blocked users, where you can unblock them.

To report someone, choose Report in the chat menu and pick what is wrong. Messages are end-to-end encrypted, so we cannot see them; you may attach the person's last messages (up to 5, text only, never files) so that we can check the report. What a report contains and how long it is kept is described in the Privacy Policy.

What happens after a report

We review reports and, when these terms are broken, may suspend the account: it can then no longer sign in, send messages or be written to. Reports are never acted on automatically, so reporting someone does not by itself switch their account off. People on other Mailbees servers follow the rules of their server; if another server is used for abuse, we may stop exchanging messages with it. Serious crimes may be reported to the authorities.

Other servers

Mailbees servers can exchange messages with each other. Other servers are run by other people, who are responsible for them and for their users. Your server (shown in Settings) is the one whose rules apply to you.

Age

You must be at least 13 years old to use Mailbees, or older if the law where you live requires it.

No warranty

Mailbees is free and provided as it is. We do our best to keep it working and secure but cannot promise that it is always available or that messages are always delivered, and we may change or stop the service. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses from using it.
